Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Penn Medicine has an exciting opportunity for Nurse Practitioners and/or Physician Assistants to join the multidisciplinary teams of the world-renowned Penn Transplant Institute. The lung transplant program is seeking to add Advanced Practice Providers to help lead newly formed inpatient services. Responsibilities will include caring for patients with advanced lung disease or complications associated with lung transplant. Having successfully integrated Advanced Practitioners in the outpatient practices, both programs are keen to welcome inpatient providers to optimize transitions in care.
This is a high paced inpatient service where the Advanced Practice Provider provides comprehensive care including: admissions, daily clinical tasks and discharge planning. The Advanced Practice Provider is an integral part of not only the inpatient team but the outpatient team as well. The Advanced Practice Provider will work with highly specialized Pulmonologists who highly value the Advanced Practice Provider role and autonomy of the Advanced Practice ProviderShift Schedule: night/day rotation
Minimum Requirements:
• Master’s prepared ACNP or PA
• Pennsylvania licensure as an ACNP or PA-C
• BLS required, ACLS preferred
• Experience in transplantation and acute care preferred
• Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams highly valued
