Under limited supervision, the Materials Management Associate Systems Analyst identifies ways to fully utilize Lawson with other systems to meet the needs of Materials Management (MM) and Accounts Payable (AP), analyzes business needs to improve processes and develop efficiencies, and develops scripts for interfaces between Lawson and other systems. Develops, demonstrates and maintains a complete understanding of the Lawson AP and MM applications and possesses a deep understanding of the Lawson EDI setup and maintenance.



  • Anticipates customer needs and assures they are accommodated
  • Delivers customer service seamlessly across system boundaries
  • Takes action to make up for lapses in service
  • Complies with identified service standards
  • Responds to customer inquiries
  • Eliminates process workarounds
  • Works w other AP/MM process related departments


Minimum Requirements

Required Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred
  • At least three years of experience in a related area (IS, Materials Operations, Accounts Payable)
  • Experience with information systems required
  • Knowledge of Corporate Purchasing preferred

Required Skills and Abilities

  • Expertise on MS Access, Excel and Word
  • Basic knowledge of Crystal and File Transfer Protocol
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Lawson AP & MM applications
  • Expertise in Item Master and related forms setup (Lawson preferred) and related tables.
