Summary:

  • Maintain storeroom(s) in a neat and orderly fashion while placing stock in appropriate locations. Responsible for the distribution of medical supplies throughout the Hospital. The accurate and timely restocking of assigned areas. Maintains an orderly work environment. Accurate and timely recording of inventory issues and communication of problems to management.

Responsibilities:

  • Restcks assigned areas with med/surg supplies in an accurate and timely manner.Accurately picks, distributes, and charges ut inventry supplies using a PAR level, r exchange cart system in the Lawsn.Answers phne and field messages in a timely manner.Develps and maintains accurate Inventry recrds t include dates and prduct usage.Fills and distributes requisitins and purchase receipts frm departments accrding t established schedules, r after receiving telephne/beeper requests.Rtates stck items accrding t department plicy in all stck lcatins; including strerms, mnicells and supply carts.Re-stck cde cartsPrint labels and update hand held scanners as required.Participates in prduct evaluatin/ in service prcess.Maintains cntinuity f services in emergency situatins (i.e. may be required t cntinue staffing in disaster cdes and ther emergencies).Ntify apprpriate management if unable t deliver supply r service.Establishes and maintains a prfessinal rapprt with all internal and external custmers.May be required t wrk in the Perip strerm, main strerm, mailrm r receiving, based n daily wrklad requirements.IV Slutin management t include insuring IV fluids are secure and lcked in all areas f hspital including par lcatins, strerm and receiving area.Ensures that all wrk areas are kept clean, clutter free and rganized as per department prcedure/plicyPrperly dispse f all cardbard and packing material.Respnds t requests, fr supplies in a timely manner.Ntify apprpriate management if unable t deliver supply r service.Participate in department meetings/actin planningMaintain all hspital HIPPA requirementsParticipates in Entity and Department wide initiatives fr Patient/Emplyee safetyDemnstrates an awareness f patient/ emplyee safety when carrying ut daily respnsibilities f their psitin.Must fllw all infectin cntrl plicies and prcedures. (example: scrubs, masks where apprpriate, PPE) and fllw all hand washing guidelinesMust maintain a safe wrk area in cmpliance with all healthcare regulatry entities.
