Summary:

  • Under the direction of the radiologist, the MR technologist performs a variety of MR procedures on pediatric and adult patients. They have the ability to perform all MR procedures requiring sound understanding of anatomical positioning, magnetic field safety and cross sectional anatomy.

Responsibilities:

  • btains patient histry, explains the prcedure, gains cnsent fr cntrast material administratin and address any patient cncerns prir t beginning the prcedure.Perfrms all necessary checks fr accuracy f the prescriptin, precertificatin/authrizatin if required by individual insurance cmpanies, Sarian rder and patient identificatin.Perfrm all MR prcedures fllwing the apprpriate imaging prtcls.Cmpiles and reviews images, prvides applicable cmparisn studies, and prepares dcumentatin fr interpretatin.Perfrms quality cntrl testing as required.Clean, adjust and perfrm rutine maintenance n equipment; stck and replenish supplies as required.

Credentials:

  • Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • Completion of an accredited radiologic technology program resulting in a two year certificate and/or associate degree
