Penn Medicine university City is looking for a full-time LPN for the Family Practice Unit!!!!

Schedule: Per Departmental Needs

Summary:

  • The CPUP Licensed Practical Nurse assists physicians and performs healthcare services to patients in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities. Monitors and charts patients, collects sample, and performs other tasks as assigned, all under the direction of registered nurses and doctors.

Responsibilities:

  • Administers prescribed medicatins, gives injectins and vaccines, reads PPD results.Perfrms electrcardigrams (EKG) and screening tests.btains and tests specimens fllwing standard perating prcedures and dcuments results, taking apprpriate actin with unexpected results. Prepares specimens fr transprt as necessary.Gather infrmatin frm patient and direct t the RN r Prvider when necessary.Assists prvider with surgical prcedures including psitining patients, keeping a sterile field, and wund cleaning and dressing.Prepares paperwrk t cmplete patient visit.btains and dcuments patients vital signs as needed and reprts abnrmal results t prvider.Cleans, disinfects, sterilizes and checks t make sure all instruments and equipment are in prper wrking rder.Maintains medicatin strage clsets.Participates in rienting new team members.

Credentials:

  • Licensed Practical Nurse (Required)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 1+ years Outpatient experience preferred
  • Other (Required)
  • Practice Nursing School
