NeuroRadiology at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania has the following opening:
ACNP and PA-C position caring for NeuroRadiology patients.
There is an opportunity to work with the Department of Radiology as an ACNP or PA-C caring for our patients. The role primarily involves performing lumbar punctures and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to: perform lumbar punctures to collect cerebrospinal fluid (CSF); ensure that the procedure is safe, comfortable, and minimizes patient discomfort; conduct comprehensive neurological assessments to evaluate patients' medical history, symptoms, and diagnostic test results; and collaborate with neurologists, neurosurgeons, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized treatment plans for patients.
As part of their professional role, they integrate education, research, leadership, and consultation into their clinical practice. The ACNP or PA-C will demonstrate this through nursing and resident education, participation in the division’s research mission and projects, hospital committee membership and leadership, and providing continuity of care for hospital staff, patients, and their families. Full time position: Monday through Friday, 8hr days.
