Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Physician Assistant works with a multidisciplinary team at Penn Medicine at Chester County Hospital to implement a plan of care for admitted internal medicine patients. The PA-C/CRNP will work with the physicians of the hospitalist to provide patient centric, quality care. This opportunity is for a part time position for night shift
The PA-C/CRNP will perform history taking and physical examinations. Obtain and record past medical history, develop discharge plans, and record progress notes. They will also manage healthcare risk appraisal, interpret diagnostic tests, administer and order medications and emergency treatment, and communicate with families the changing care needs of their family member. They will be responsible for the changing needs of patients in the hospital in the night hours. They will not be doing rapid responses or codes.
The hospitalist group at Penn Medicine Chester County is looking for an advanced practitioner who is flexible, a good communicator, is able to adapt to dynamic environments, and has a patient focused mindset.
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Physician Assistant:
· Completion of a physician assistant program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the physician assistant (ARC-PA) is required
· MS candidate is required
Experience:
Physician Assistant:
Completion of clinical rotations in internal medicine per the accredited PA program, would prefer at least one year of advanced practice
