  • Penn Medicine Princeton Health (PMPH) is seeking a full time Assistant Nurse Manager (Registered Nurse) to work the day shift within Princeton House Behavioral Health (PHBH). Wing 6 Princeton House specializes in caring for an adult population of psychiatric and dual diagnosis patients. Our program offers medication, group therapy and ECT treatment options. We also are the primary unit for serving the First Responder population.

 

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

· Assisting with the day to day managerial functions of the unit, under the direction of the Nurse Manager

· Maintain open communication with staff via scheduled shift meetings

· Assists unit educator and nurse manager in planning formal orientation program for new staff by assigning preceptor for orientee, following up on orientation goals and checklists and regularly evaluating whether orientee is achieving set goals

· Makes daily unit rounds and communicates necessary information to the clinical team to ensure high quality patient care on holidays/weekends in the absence of the nurse manager/nursing supervisor

· Provide relief oversight of the nursing staff at PHBH inpatient units on the weekend/holidays

What We Require for this Role:

Education

  • Associate’s Degree required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

 

Related Work Experience

  • 2-4 years of experience required.


LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS)
  • Active RN NJ license
  • Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred.
