The Surgical Transplant unit at HUP has been providing care to transplant patients for over 5 decades. 11 City is a 24 bed Transplant Surgery Unit providing specialized care to Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Uterus, Hand, and Islet Cell Transplants. 11 City also cares for the Living Kidney Donor and Living Liver Donor patients. Our nurses are part of an innovative and dedicated interdisciplinary team at one of the top transplant facilities in the nation. This program is designed to introduce nursing students to the role of the CNA/Nursing Assistant, and the opportunity to work with the finest nurses in the nation. As you work rotating shifts, this assignment will begin to prepare you for your transition from nursing student to professional nurse. This program offers a competitive salary and an opportunity in the near future for an excellent nursing career at our hospital. You will have the opportunity to learn from the very best with clinical support from the Nurse Managers, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Nurse Educators, and other team members with a unique opportunity to develop your skills.
