Schedule: Evenings and weekends.

Summary:

  • The chaplain provides through an inter-faith model, supportive pastoral care for patients, families and staff. The chaplain will work with departments throughout the organization in identifying pastoral/spiritual needs for the patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Responds to identified pastoral care needsBuilds collaborative relationships with hospital departments/staffParticipates in collaborative support among the pastoral care teamMaintains appropriate documentation and reports

Credentials:

  • Ordination or appropriate alternative Consecration, Endorsement, etc. by a recognized Faith Group required.
  • Four Units of ACPE Clinical Pastoral Education or enrolled in accredited program with completion within one year required.
  • Association of Professional Chaplains Board Certification (or eligibility) or similar credential preferred.
  • Experience in parish, institutional chaplaincy, and in leadership/administrative roles preferred.

    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
    • Experience working with complex interdisciplinary setting preferred.
