Summary:

  • Reporting to the Controller this position oversees financial performance reporting and analysis including financial results, variance analysis and performance drivers

Responsibilities:

  • Works closely with the accounting team on an efficient general ledger month end close
  • Directs appropriate financial assessments to support strategy for Continuum Operations; communicates information strategically, delivering results-oriented messages.
  • Provides recommendations based on analysis.
  • Works with leaders to drive financial performance.
  • Leads budget planning based on operating forecasts, change initiatives, financial requirements, utilization, and benchmark data.
  • Applies, thorough understanding of key business processes, to address long-term implications of decisions/actions.
  • Directs labor and productivity improvement efforts through effective reporting, analysis, and strategy execution; includes creating and executing on action plans based on benchmarks.

Credentials:

  • Certified Public Accountant (Preferred)
  • HFMA Certification (Preferred) 

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • And 10+ years Hospital or Healthcare related financial experience with analytically challenging projects 
  • 3+ years of Management Experience
  • Working Knowledge of general ledger and financial reporting systems, preferably Lawson, Essbase, Smartview, Hyperion Reports and Planning, Epic APM, Epic Business Objects, SAM Excel, I payment etc
