Summary
The Clinical Practices of the University of Pennsylvania (CPUP) is an integral part of Penn Medicine. Ambulatory care is provided in approximately 50 locations across the greater Philadelphia region and comprised of 19 Departments with many sub-specialties within CPUP.
Responsibilities:
• Serve broader department clinical support needs and augment director support through delegated critical priorities and core functions enhancement.
• Regulatory Specialist
o Responsible for regulatory oversight in partnership/collaboration with the hospital entities, responsible for survey readiness and participation for DOH/CMS/TJC.
o Conduct practice rounding focused on regulatory readiness in the Clinical Departments
o Participate in EOC rounding at POTF buildings,
o Participate and conduct regulatory champion meetings in collaboration with the hospital entities with agenda settings.
o Attend & participate in monthly meetings with hospital regulatory teams and inter-entity regulatory teams.
• Responsible for administrative and nursing policy development, review, and revisions by participating on hospital policy committees.
• Responsible for working with CPUP administration and the clinical departments on improving the patient experience.
• Oversight of New Clinical Technology Integration (Telephone Triage, Medication reconciliation, Remote Monitoring, New Vendor)
Responsible for process improvement for clinical quality, informed by monitoring safety nets for clinical themes and trends, development of improvement of clinical workflows and decision support working collaboratively with the PACE team.
o Clinical productivity measures/clinical decision support/wellness advocacy related to In-basket management.
Implementation of clinical campaigns, such as flu, C0VID, Moneypox, working in partnership with Occupational Medicine, Epidemiologists, Infection Prevention Team and CPUP administration
• Development and implementation of Nurse-Led Visit Expansion
Credentials:
Education or Equivalent Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in nursing
5+ years of Clinical experience in RN and prior leadership experience
