Cash Quality Processor

Finance/ Revenue Cycle

This position can be worked remotely from anywhere in the tri-state area. 

Job Summary of Accountabilities: 

  • Preparation and posting of daily cash receipts.
  • Scanning, verifying and posting of remittances.
  • Identification of unposted cash.
  • Printing of posting reports for balancing.
  • Processing of Credit Cards transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Posting electronic remittances using the systems in place for Epic payments.
  • Printing, balancing, and distribution of reports.
  • Record/maintain totals on monthly spread sheet.
  • Process Out of State cash received in Lockbox using the systems in place.
  • Research any unprocessed items and notify Supervisor of any issues.
  • Review and process of credit card items received from Agencies and the Lockbox.
  • Record totals on balancing log and submit documentation to Cash Coordinator.
  • Process rejection remittances through the established systems.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.

    Education/ Experience:

    • High School Diploma/ GED (Required).
    • 1+ years of experience in cash posting and documentation of records/batches (Required).

    Skills & Abilities:

    • Ability to use Microsoft Word.
    • Ability to use Microsoft Excel.
    • Must be able to accurately prepare, verify, scan and post cash, checks, and wire receipts received as payment.
    • Must be a self starter who can prioritize work and move from one task to another quickly.
    • Must like dealing with the public and be flexible and adapt well to change.
