Financial Database Analyst
Department: Physician Billing Office
This position can be worked remotely from anywhere within the tri-state area.
Job Summary:
- Provides financial support to Outsourced Accounts and Client Relations Manager at the Physician Billing Office. Develops, distributes and maintains outsourced vendor activity and credit balance reporting. Acts as the liaison between Outsourced and Penn Medicine Information Technology representatives to resolve system access issues.
Responsibilities:
- Generate Refund Check Run reports for weekly submissions to Accounts Payable.
- Generate and distribute monthly financial reports for CPUP Administration and PBO Billing Service Managers.
- Upload Vendor Invoice and monthly payment file data for reconciliation purposes.
- Produce monthly Credit Graph Reports for PBO Senior Management.
- Generate and place monthly reports via file transfer protocols for vendor account activity.
- Maintains Databases for all generated reports.
- Reviews accounts and enters data in Physician Billing System.
Education & Equivalent Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, with concentration in accounting, finance, or healthcare administration (Required).
- 2+ years of financial analysis experience (Required).
- Experience in healthcare industry (Preferred).
- Experience in Microsoft Office and Access (Required).
- High proficiency with spreadsheet, word processing, and database software (Preferred).
- Working knowledge of the EPIC physician billing system (Preferred).
Skills & Abilities:
- Proven analytical and organizational skills required.
- Highly professional written and verbal communication skills required.
- Self-motivated individual who thrives under pressure and excels with a minimum amount of supervision.
- Must be creative, flexible, cooperative, and aggressive, and willing to assume added responsibility, as needed.
- Must be able to work effectively with all levels of staff and management.
- Must have a good command of the English language.
