The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Interventional Radiographer for the Perelman Center for Advanced Medicine!

The is a 40/hr per week with the following schedule: Monday-Friday 10a-630pm.

Must be able to work on call weekdays, weekends and holidays.

On Call Every 15th weekend.

Duties include but not limited to:

  • Greets patient, identifies self and interacts with patient to gain trust and insure patient support
  • Explains procedures to patient/family
  • Prepares patients for procedures according to section protocols
  • Practices proper sterile technique during the execution of procedures.
  • Adapts roles/responsibilities to meet or exceed customer needs through quality care and service Continually seeks the highest standards for personal and professional performance
  • Take patient vital signs including blood pressure, pulse rate and respiratory rate.
  • Review procedure aftercare with patients and their families.
  • Performs procedures consistent with section protocols
  • Monitors patient status, tolerance, well-being, and safety throughout and after procedure
  • Verifies patient identity and insures preparation for procedure
  • Aids radiologists, doctors and other UPHS team members in completing procedures according to applicable protocol
  • Responds to emergency situations according to department/hospital policies

Credentials:

  • ARRT (Required)
  • Basic Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent required.
  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Two + years' experience in radiology preferred. Interventional Radiology experience preferred
