Summary:

  • Under the direction of a radiologist and/or surgeon, performs high quality diagnostic imaging examinations using ingenuity, initiative and independent judgment of patients in a safe and timely manner. This position will support the expanding technology needs of complex cases in the operating room. This clinical/technical position will support multiple imaging / surgical navigation systems used to guide surgeons in complex procedures. Must follow physicians' orders precisely, maintaining a high degree of accuracy in radiographic positioning and exposure and conform to regulations concerning the use of radiation to protect themselves, their patients, and their co-workers from unnecessary exposure.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in the operation of multiple imaging units including navigation systems, such as Stealth, Fusion, Medtronic O-arm and Hybrid unit.
  • Perform all procedures following the appropriate imaging protocols. All technical factors should be appropriate for the age of the patient with consideration of the tools available for shielding and dose reduction.
  • Compiles and reviews images, provides applicable comparison studies, and prepares documentation for interpretation.
  • Performs quality control testing as required.
  • Clean, adjust and perform routine maintenance on equipment; stock and replenish supplies as required.
  • Proficient in departmental and hospital information technologies such as RIS, PACS, and job specific related areas.

Credentials:

  • Amer Registry Radiologic Tech (Required)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Associate of Arts or Science (Required)
  • And Preferred experience in specialty specific Imaging. Diagnostic Imaging in Operating Room. 
  • Graduate of a Radiologic Technology Program.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
