Penn Medicine is looking for a full-time Clinical Supervisor EAP

Department: Penn Medicine EAP

Location: 3535 Market St.

Summary:

  • The Clinical Supervisor of the EAP/Care Manager is a working Care Manager with supervisory responsibility for the EAP Care Management team based in the Philadelphia office. Monitor and answer queue calls and perform assessment using evidence based clinical tools to determine appropriate level of care. Deliver counseling to clients face to face or via telehealth, up to 8 sessions. Monitor and respond to calls after hours and on weekends for one week, every 4-6 weeks. Assessment of safety risk, intervention and resourcing.

Responsibilities:

  • Telephone triage of clients using evidence based clinical tools EAP Counseling: up to 8 sessions, face to face and via telehealth.
  • Effectively lead and direct a team of professional and administrative staff. Responsible for hiring, firing and performance management of Care Manager staff. Direct the work of the administrative support staff.
  • Knowledge of clinical delivery systems including Brief Intervention, CBT, Behavioral Activation, and Crisis Intervention Organize and maintain clinical documentation (protected health information) in an electronic database.
  • Monitor/respond to after-business-hours and weekend calls on assigned nights/weekends.
  • Telephonic assessment of safety risk, intervention and resourcing
  • Utilize excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, for clinical assessment purposes and service delivery.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures. 
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization. 

Credentials:

  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC in the Commonwealth of PA (Required)
  • LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or LMHC in the State of NJ (Preferred) 


Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Master's Degree Social Work or Counseling (Required)
  • 3+ years Post-graduate clinical experience (Required)
  • 1+ years Management experience (Required)
