Detail Summary:
This position is a specialized role for a pharmacy technician. The specialty pharmacy clinical technician will support medication access needs and assist with quality assurance through follow up calls on all clinical appeals and assigning specialty accreditation reassessments in the electronic medical record. They will work alongside an immediate peer supporting our growing team of clinical ambulatory care pharmacists.
Position Description:
Under the direct supervision of Registered Pharmacist, responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following: Entering prescription information into retail pharmacy software Assisting in the preparing and filling of medication orders Performing cash register transactions and distributing medication to patients Answering phones, inventory management and resolving insurance issues
Minimum Requirements:

HS Diploma or equivalent and Certified Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is required. This person must be able to perform dosage calculations; have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of hospital personnel; perform basic office environment tasks; have the aptitude to maintain proficiency in all Pharmacy computer systems, and all technical equipment required to perform duties; and possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the Internet. Additionally, this person is expected to satisfactorily pass required hospital and government validation examinations. Some college and prior hospital or retail pharmacy experience preferred, with a basic working knowledge of drugs and dosages.
