The Senior Business Consultant within the Abramson Cancer Center is a member of the internal consulting group that works with the hospital executive team. The Senior Business Consultant has expertise in several industry-wide methodologies (lean, six sigma, project management) to improve processes and implement strategic initiatives. The Senior Business Consultant is responsible for defining the scope on large, cross functional projects. They are also responsible for identifying areas for improvement, leading the project, and ensures task completion and issue resolution. The business consultant is an agent of change and must also be capable of forming relationships quickly at all levels in the organization, be able to adapt to changing priorities, demonstrate executive presence, possess effective interpersonal skills, be able to establish good working relationships, be able to foster cooperation in others, and be a creative problem-solver. The Senior business consultant must be able to deliver executive level presentations, effectively delegate work, hold others accountable for deliverables, and effectively communicate with key project stakeholders of project status and issues. The Senior Business Consultant must provide mentorship to others on the team and within the organization.
