Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Hematology and Oncology Division has a need a for a full time (50/50 Night/Day Shift) Advanced Practice Provider with experience in Oncology.
Inpatient Medical Oncology Advanced Practice Provider Service: Join us in caring for patients with hematologic malignancies and complex co-morbid conditions. Work with an elite team of committed advanced practice providers and collaborating physicians in the care of this special patient population. Care for patients undergoing aggressive chemotherapy treatments, stem cell transplantation, and cellular therapy. Be at the forefront of oncologic research and innovative care. Utilize your education and experience to maximize oncology care in this exciting, fast-paced environment.
The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant, while providing quality care across the continuum in collaboration with physicians, nursing staff and other members of the care team, performs histories, physicals, and procedures according to credentialing, and provide care and patient/family teaching following the nursing process. Also participates in research as appropriate, ensures regulatory compliance, documents care according to standards, and prescribes in accordance with the collaborative agreement and State regulations.
The qualified candidate must be an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant with a Masters Degree, current licensure or eligibility in the Commonwealth of PA and eligibility for credentialing by the medical board. Oncology experience as a Nurse or as a Provider preferred. New graduates will be considered on an individual basis.
This individual will work full time 36 hours/ week. Role includes weekends, nights, and holidays.
