Job Title: Material Service Partner, Per Diem

Entity:  PMC
Department:  Central Processing 
Location:  Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, 51 North 39th Street, Philadelphia, Pa
Hours: Per Diem, Mondays/Tuesdays 10am to 6:30pm with a future Friday shift required as well

Summary: 

The materials service partner is responsible for moving case cart back and forth to the OR. Picking and filling cases throughout the day. Scanning in CensiTrac all instruments on shelves in the OR and CPD once a week to assure locations of trays. Cleaning all patient issued equipment (i.e. commodes, infusion pumps and wound vacs etc.). Restocking sets on shelves if not used for surgical cases. Moving unused loaners to loaner room/area for vendor pickup. Contact vendor representatives to retrieve unused loaner trays.

Responsibilities: 

Moving surgical case carts back and forth from OR to CPD. 

• Pick surgical cases and additional instruments needed throughout the day. 

• Restock shelves in OR and CPD with unused surgical sets.

 • Scan all shelves in OR and CPD once weekly to assure set locations in CensiTrac.

 • Clean and scan all patient issued equipment upon arrival to CPD and tag broken equipment.

 • Contact Biomed to retrieve broken patient equipment. 

• Move all unused loaners to loaner room/area for vendor pickup

 • Contact Vendor representatives to retrieve trays. 

• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures 

• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization 


Qualifications and Credentials:

  • High School Diploma/GED (required)
  • Previous Hospital Work Experience (preferred)
