The division of Neurovascular Neurology has an exciting opportunity for an ambulatory nurse practitioner to join the program. This advanced practice provider (APP) will work closely with a group of specialized physicians in our Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center that offers state-of-the-science diagnosis, treatment and research, focusing on individuals with stroke and other diseases affecting the blood vessels in the brain. This position requires an APP with excellent critical thinking, organizational and communication skills who is motivated to learn alongside this exceptional team of providers to manage this patient population.
The role requires independently seeing patients in the outpatient neurology clinics at all downtime sites, performing comprehensive assessments, evaluating and managing symptoms, ordering labs and imaging, and a heavy emphasis on managing patients post stroke that have been discharged from the hospital. This role offers tremendous professional growth and the opportunity to participate in Penn Medicine’s tripartite mission of clinical care, research and education.
