Summary: 

Reporting to the Director of UX and Web Design, the Web Production Coordinator plays a vital role in managing the company's website to ensure optimal performance, user experience, and alignment with organizational objectives. This role requires a combination of technical expertise, creative skills, and effective communication abilities to effectively coordinate cross-functional teams and deliver an engaging online experience for users.

Responsibilities:

  • WEBSITE MANAGEMENT: Coordinate the maintenance, and updates of the organization's website. Ensure the website's content is up-to-date, accurate, and aligned with brand guidelines. Monitor website performance and user engagement metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • CONTENT MANAGEMENT: Collaborate with content creators, designers, and stakeholders to plan and publish website content. Monitor content for adherence to readability, SEO (Search Engine Optimization), and user experience standards. Develop and maintain content health to ensure timely updates and keep content sprawl in check.
  • USER EXPERIENCE (UX) OPTIMIZATION: Implement UX best practices to enhance website usability, navigation, and accessibility. Collaborate with Analytics and UX Research team to conduct user testing and gather feedback to identify areas for improvement. Collaborate with designers and developers to implement UX enhancements and new features.
  • DIGITAL MARKETING INTEGRATION: Collaborate with the Digital Marketing team to integrate the website with digital marketing initiatives, such as email campaigns and social media promotions.
  • COMPLIANCE AND SECURITY: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to data privacy, and security. Ensure compliance with current accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0 AA) across all web properties. Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in web production, design, and security.
  • PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Stays abreast of health care, marketing, and technology-related issues to serve as a knowledgeable leader and system resource. Maintains skill levels in technology tools required to perform job requirements.
  • Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures 
  • Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization


Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years working in related field. (Required)
  • Previous experience in tech industry. (Preferred)


Skills/Abilities:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Excel, Word and PowerPoint) 
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly 
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills 
  • Must have ability to work independently and effectively 
  • Demonstrated experience using a content management system 
  •  Expert knowledge of SEO and organic content best practices 
  • Fundamental knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Photoshop 
  •  Solid understanding of information architecture and digital usability principles 
  • Strong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skills 
  •  Familiarity with graphic design principles and tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus. 
  •  Strong written and oral communication skills, with ability to establish credibility as a strategic thought partner 
  • Demonstrated experience developing an organizational approach to online customer review management Demonstrated experience managing vendors to align with digital strategic goals
