Ideal candidate is located within commuting distance to Penn Medicine’s regional hospitals and facilities in the Western, Northern, and NJ suburbs of Philadelphia, where they will frequently work on site, with periodic travel to other health Penn Medicine facilities in Philadelphia.
Summary:
The communications specialist is a member of the Regional Communications team and supports day-to-day operations, projects, and initiatives of Penn Medicine’s regional entities. The specialist will collaborate across the broader Penn Medicine Communications team to support the execution of internal and external communications strategies and storytelling efforts.
The Communications Specialist-Regional Communications supports the Penn Medicine Communications Department in the execution of internal and external communications strategies. This role assists in the development, production, and distribution of web-based and traditional publications, media outreach materials, and internal communications. In addition, the Communications Specialist will lead selected projects, collaborate on media relations efforts, and assist in the creation and management of content across multiple internal and external platforms. The role requires a strong understanding of communications best practices, excellent writing skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
