Why Join Our Team?

  • Located about 5 miles from the Jersey Shore, The Eatontown location is seeking a per diem nurse to join our growing multi-disciplinary team. Our location features a collaborative team of administrative staff, mental health professionals, registered nurses, psychiatrists and advanced nurse practitioners. Our Adult Program, which focuses on Men’s Trauma and Young Adult mental health, is in need of a per diem day nurse. Our nurses play a vital role in how our team functions. Being the first to evaluate new patients, our nurses have tremendous impact engaging new clients. They have consistent interactions with our clients throughout their eight to ten week treatment stay. Additionally, nursing office is located right on the milieu with our clinical manager and treating providers for quick collaboration and teamwork.
  • RN will cover both Eatontown and North Brunswick locations. 


Key Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating patient’s physical and behavioral health needs on a continuous basis
  • Respond to or assist with medical emergencies
  • As part of the multi-disciplinary team, you will participate in decision-making, teaching, and coordination of care
  • Provide initial and ongoing education to patients and their family
  • Keep up to date with knowledge of medications, specifically psychotropic medications- including side effects, contraindications, therapeutic levels, and required/advisable health maintenance.
  • Administered medications as prescribed by provider. This includes injectable forms of medications which may require outpatient coordination at the time of discharge to ensure continuity of care
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs
  • Collect vital signs, weight, height, waist circumference, urine drug screens as ordered or as it applies to standard policy
  • Demonstrate strong organization, therapeutic communication, and leadership skills
  • Adhere to all state nursing standards and policies as well as facility and corporate policies and procedures


Scheduling Requirements

  • Will be scheduled on an as needed basis 
  • Hours - 8am-4:30pm OR 8:30am-5pm, no weekends and no nights.  

 

What We Require for this Role:

Education

  • Associate’s degree in Nursing required
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

 

Related Work Experience

  • 15 months of RN experience required
  • Previous behavioral health experience required.


LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT

  •  Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Jersey required.
