Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Penn Medicine is seeking a Podiatry Residency Program Director who will also function as a Surgical Podiatrist. The Program Director will provide all aspects of clinical and teaching leadership to the Penn Podiatry Residents.
Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is home to a Podiatric Surgery Residency Program, as well as a two-year, patient-oriented Clinical Research Fellowship in Podiatric Medicine and Surgery. The Program Director will oversee the residency program, including, but not limited to, the selection, training, education and discipline of trainees. The Program Director will have 20% dedicated time to their leadership role. The other 80% will be spent as a surgical podiatrist.
Penn Podiatry is based at Penn Presbyterian Medicine Center (PPMC), with practice locations in West Philadelphia, South Jersey, and Radnor. The practice is currently home to eight employed physicians who treat an array of medical and surgical patients. The team works closely with other specialists at Penn Medicine, as well as other departments within the hospital, including the vascular surgery, neurology, and plastic surgery teams. The Program Director will practice clinically on the campus of PPMC and operate at PPMC. Trauma call is expected to be 1:7.
Position requirements:
· ABPM and ABMSP board certified
· Current PA license & DEA (or eligible to obtain)
· Surgical Podiatrist with a minimum of 5 years in practice.
· Prior experience with residency program oversight
· High level of interpersonal skills
