We are hiring for an experienced RN to join our MNO team in a full time/36 hours per week, Day Shift position. The hours for the role are 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
The MNO Unit is a 36 bed unit with multiple sub-specialties (neurology, oncology, and psychiatry). It has a specialized focus on stroke, seizures, epilepsy, other neurological conditions, oncology which includes the administration of chemotherapy. The unit also provides care to all other medical and surgical inpatients with tracheostomy, chest tubes, pleurx catheter, wound vac, central lines such as chest ports. The unit also has 4 long term epilepsy (EEG) beds and these patients are usually admitted for medication changes or adjustments. The unit also provides telemetry monitoring on all stroke/TIA patients. Because of the multiple sub-specialties, nurses are required to meet mandatory competencies such as ACLS, stroke scale certification, CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention), and chemotherapy competency.
