Penn Medicine Lancaster - The Heart Group is seeking a full-time BC/BE Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join the team in an inpatient and outpatient setting. As part of a highly productive cardiology group consisting of 29 physicians our heart failure team offers sub-specialty clinics in the areas of pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, cardio-oncology, maternal cardiology and VAD. With the capabilities to offer a full spectrum of MCS devices, we thrive on innovation and state of the art technology and are proud to serve some of the longest surviving destination therapy patients in the country. 

Our group is nationally recognized for the lowest heart failure readmission rates in the country. Established in 2005 as one of the earliest community hospitals to implant VAD, our program collaborates with four MCS cardiothoracic surgeons offering all available BTT and DT platforms. As a forward-thinking group, our team participates in over 20 clinical trials, encourages and supports research endeavors. Our Heart Failure Cardiologist diagnosis, manage and continue care for patients who receive heart transplants at Penn Medicine Heart and Vascular Center and perform more research, diagnostic services and open-heart procedures than any other health system in the region. As a high-end cardiology group, we collaborate with Penn Medicine’s Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology team regularly to improve quality of life and a better life expectancy for heart failure patients. 

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic)
  • Completion of an accredited Advanced Heart Failure fellowship
  • Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
