Location: Plainsboro, NJ

 Hours: as per need basis/ Available 2 weekends a month, 1pm/9pm or 3pm - 11:30 pm ( flexible start/end times)

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

·Analyze biological samples adhering to Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures

·Perform and document quality control and maintenance functions

·Maintains ongoing competency in all areas of testing performed

·Adheres to all laboratory safety and regulatory practices

·Communicates well with Physicians and other Ancillary services

What We Require for this Role:

Education 

Med Lab Techs 

• • Associate of Arts or Science (Required) and 
  • Education Specialization: A.S. degree in chemical, biological or clinical science/medical technology science, MLT Equivalent Experience

 Med Techs

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, biological, or laboratory science/medical technology science required

  • Non-US based education/ Education obtained abroad needs to be evaluated and certified as per US Standards (This evaluation and recognition can be obtained via World Services Education (WES)

  Related Work Experience for both MLT and MLS

  • Recent experience in a CLINICAL laboratory setting ( required for this position)
  • ASCP CERTIFIED or eligible to take the exam within 6 months of hire.

  LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION OR REGISTRATION REQUIREMENT ( Med TEch)

  ·Medical Technologist (ASCP or NCA), Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP), or previously qualified as Medical Technologist prior to 2/28/92 under 42CFR493.1427 (3/14/90) REQUIRED
