: The Administrative Coordinator is responsible for complex administrative functions associated with the support of a multi

faceted Division management team. He/She will manage the call scheduling and coverage arrangements for residents rotating with the Department of Surgery. He/She communicates with the Department of Surgery (Divisions of Trauma, Surgical Intensive Care Unit, and Anesthesiology Critical Care) and the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care faculty and residents, the Health System, and University officials while ensuring that confidentiality is maintained.
Responsibilities
:
Manages the dynamic clinical schedule for (12+) SICU residents and (~60) trauma junior residents rotating with
Surgery, including QGenda maintenance and communicating schedule updates.
Demonstrates exemplary organizational skills and has ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment.
Uses acquired knowledge to make division processes and practices effective and efficient in line with Health System standards.
Performs complex and timely administrative functions for the Surgery and Anesthesiology and Critical Care
leadership and faculty (Regulatory and Policy Compliance, Project Management Support, expense management, Meeting support, travel support, and orientation planning assistance).
Promotes a team environment that values employee satisfaction and professional ownership.
Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures.
Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization.
Education and Experience
:
H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
2+ administrative support experience (Required)
Bachelor's degree in business management/health care Amin (Preferred)
Skills and Abilities:
TECHNOLOGY: Ability to use Microsoft Excel.
TECHNOLOGY: Ability to use Microsoft Outlook.
TECHNOLOGY: Ability to use Microsoft Power Point.
