The Special Hematology Lab at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is seeking a Full-Time Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team. We specialize in the analysis of hematologic disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, and hemoglobinopathies.
As a Medical Laboratory Scientist, you will be responsible for the processing and analysis of bone marrow samples. You will also perform hemoglobinopathy analysis and interpretation, as well as review abnormal peripheral blood and fluid smears to determine the need for pathologist evaluation. Beyond diagnostic work, you will contribute to specialized clinical testing, assay development, and validation studies. Our lab is at the forefront of hematopathology research, developing novel clinical assays and evaluating emerging diagnostic technologies to advance patient care and improve diagnostic capabilities.
