Penn Medicine is seeking a Clinical Nurse 2 to join our Radiation Oncology team in Cherry Hill, NJ. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to practice in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that offers high autonomy, interdisciplinary collaboration, and opportunities for professional development. As a Clinical Nurse 2, you will be an integral part of a team that provides exceptional care to patients undergoing radiation therapy, ensuring safety, quality, and compassionate care across the continuum of treatment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care through the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation)
Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to coordinate care for patients undergoing radiation therapy
Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, radiation therapy, and symptom management
Monitor and manage potential side effects and complications from radiation treatment
Document patient care in the electronic health record (EHR) in a timely and accurate manner
Engage in continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities to improve patient outcomes
Participate in evidence-based practice and research to ensure the highest standards of care
Demonstrate leadership by contributing to team goals, fostering a culture of safety, and mentoring less experienced staff
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accrediting body standards
Promote person and family-centered care by respecting patient preferences, values, and needs

Required Credentials:
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) Certification (Required)
Registered Nurse (RN) License – New Jersey (Required)
Radiation Oncology Certification (Preferred)
Education & Experience:
Required: BSN from an accredited school of nursing
Required: More than 15 months of relevant professional nursing experience(required) and completion of the Nurse Residency Program (if applicable)
