Chester County Hospital Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner 
The Chester County Hospital, part of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, seeks candidates for a .9 clinical position providing Psychiatry NP coverage in the Emergency Department and general medical/surgical/obstetrical inpatient units at a 300-bed community hospital in West Chester, PA.  This position will include 3 12 hour shifts (7a- 7p) with the following required days: Sunday , Monday, and Wednesday/Thursday (could be one or the other).

Job Description
Clinical responsibilities include initial and follow-up psychiatry consults in the emergency department and inpatient medical and surgical units. No outpatient / ambulatory responsibilities.

These clinical duties will include direction of patient care; supervision of the establishment of diagnosis; development and implementation of treatment recommendations; documentation of treatment services; collaboration with consult liaison nurse practitioners, establishment of disposition decision recommendations, collaboration with social workers to support appropriate placement, and collaboration with pharmacy and attending physicians or other specialists to optimize pharmacologic treatments in patients with psychiatric and medical comorbidities.

Minimum Requirements

• Current licensure to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and possess an MSN with licensure as a certified registered nurse practitioner
• ANCC certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
• DEA license
• BLS & ACLS
