Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.A sleep technician trainee develops competency in and performs basic sleep testing procedures and interventions. The sleep technician trainee works under the direction of a registered sleep technologist. Please note that this is a trainee position and that the incumbent will be learning all procedures under the direct supervision of a registered sleep technologist. It is expected that the trainee will study all training material provided to them to prepare them for hands-on instruction in conducting overnight sleep tests. Lab Manager or his/her designee will review training materials and perform progress checks with the incumbent to provide educational support and to ensure that established benchmarks are achieved. Upon successful completion of the training period as determined by lab management, the incumbent will be eligible for advancement to a Tech II/experienced sleep technician position.
H.S. Diploma/GED, required. And 0-1 years Customer service (pref. health-related but not required). BCLS, preferred.
