Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Pennsylvania Hospital is looking for a PRN Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join our expanding inpatient post-partum team. As a provider on our Baby Friendly designated post-partum units, you will provide direct patient care services in collaboration with a collaborating physician to patients that have recently given birth, either vaginally or by C-section. This individual will be working 24 hours biweekly on the weekends.
The Nurse Practitioner will be an integral member of the multidisciplinary team; performing physical exams, collecting and documenting data, ordering diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, prescribing appropriate interventions and medications, and providing education to patients and their families.
The Women’s Health NP works with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care outcomes for this select group of patients and contributes to excellence in patient care, research, teaching, and provides leadership in the organization.
The CRNP will report directly to the Women's Health Lead. Oversight for the CRNP’s clinical practice will be provided by the Collaborating Physician. In addition, the CRNP will be accountable to the department for clinical outcomes and clinical productivity.
This individual will be required to work 8 hour shifts on the weekends. 24 hours per 2 week schedule.
Minimum Qualifications: Women's Health Certified. Pennsylvania Licensed. Active PA license at time of hire.
