Penn Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania at Cedar is seeking a full time CT Tech

This position is located at 501 S 54th St, Philadelphia, PA


Summary of Responsibilities:

The Diagnostic Radiology Technologist reviews x-ray requisitions to determine type of exam, pertinent clinical history and views ordered prior to the actual radiographing of the patient. Ensures proper identification of patient prior to performing study. Takes radiographs of patients referred to the department, secures patient with proper restraints. Operates automatic processing equipment, xerographic equipment, radiographic copy equipment, AC3 readers, patient terminals, PACS work stations, Amber; performs other dark room duties as needed. Completes necessary patient paperwork in a timely fashion. Reads all staff notes; attends section and quarterly meetings; attends education sessions; keeps abreast of changes within the Department. Documents and maintains annual mandatory in-services.

    Credentials:

    • Basic Cardiac Life Support 
    • ARRT Certified.


    Education or Equivalent Experience:

    • High School Graduate or Equivalent
    • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program
    • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Two+ years’ experience in radiology preferred. 
    • Interventional Radiology experience preferred
