Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Summary: The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania is currently seeking a full time Assistant Nurse Manager for the Rhoads 7 Surgical Unit. The Assistant Nurse Manager assists the Nurse Manager by assuming 24-hour accountability for the operation of the designated patient care unit (s). This includes the provision of leadership to improve patient care, enhance professional development and achieve nursing goals. ANM will share responsibility in staffing, timecards, scheduling, evaluation of staff performance, and assure that staff meets necessary competencies in order to comply with state regulations and hospital policies.
Rhoads 7 is a surgical unit specializing in the care of various surgical patient populations including Urology and Colorectal specialties among others. Being a part of the Rhoads 7 team comes with opportunities to care for post-surgical patients including a unique group of intermediate level of care patients allowing staff to expand their knowledge and expertise in these post-surgical patient pathways. This team prides itself on outcomes-focused care, evidence-based practice, a high standard of professional development, and a culture of staff engagement, teamwork, and peer feedback.
Minimum Requirements:
-Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
- PA RN license required. Must be currently licensed as a professional RN in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania
- Basic Life Support Certification required.
- Master's Degree Nursing and 3 years nursing experience with demonstrated leadership and
management skills preferred.
