The Clinical Nurse -- Pool, provides direct care to patients and demonstrates safe practice within the domains of clinical judgment and decision-making, nurse-patient/family relationships, clinical leadership, and clinical scholarship. Will work with others on the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of care across the continuum. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide individualized care based on physical, psychosocial, cultural, educational, safety, and age appropriate considerations of assigned patients. In addition, will practice within the Penn Medicine professional practice model, demonstrate Penn Medicine core values which reflect its mission, and comply with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies. This position offers the combination of full time hours and benefits with premium per diem pay rates. RNs in these positions are part of a medical-surgical/behavioral health float pool and may be assigned to work in any of our 8 medical surgical units and inpatient psychiatric unit, 6 Spruce. Most RNs in this pool work 12 hour shifts. You are considered full time staff in every way. The only difference from nurses assigned to a particular unit is that you do not find out which unit you are working until you arrive at work. Of course every effort is made to primarily assign you to those units which you most prefer whenever possible. |
