Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Director of the Nurse Residency at Penn Medicine provides leadership and management of the CCNE-accredited, system-wide nurse residency program across Penn Medicine. This position collaborates with multiple internal and external stakeholders, oversees the implementation of the nurse residency curriculum, develops innovative strategies for retention of new to practice nurses and follows nurse resident progression throughout the program. Serves as a liaison to nursing professional development departments across hospitals in relation to on-boarding and transition to practice education and professional development. Aligns the program curriculum with nurse residency program standards and health system goals. Facilitates integration into the health system, coordinates program activities that promote the transition of new to practice nurses in delivering high quality, safe, competent, patient-centered care. The Director works with multiple hospitals and departments in ensuring a well-coordinated program, facilitating evaluation, fostering continuous quality improvement and communicating program outcomes to key stakeholders across Penn Medicine and partnering academic institutions
CERTIFICATION/DEGREE REQUIREMENTS:
A Masters Degree In Nursing required and A master’s in Nursing education preferred
