Penn Medicine Medical Group - Regional Physicians is recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager. 

  • This position reports to the Associate Director of Financial Operations, oversees the staff members and works closely with all levels of entity management: CFO, COO, Directors of Operations, Practice Managers.
  • The primary responsibility of this role is the accurate completion of monthly financial & statistical reports for our PSP/PPC locations, with all of the underlying due diligence required during the monthly close to ensure an accurate reflection of our financial results. Ensuring all necessary Journal Entries are completed by the team, Intercompany transactions reconciled, and variances understood. Ensure that accounting policies are implemented and accurately applied and in accordance with GAAP.
  • Knowledge of Physician practice or Hospital accounting is essential. Thorough understanding of Revenue Cycle accounting, Physician practice expenses, and the ability to provide detailed analysis of these areas will be required. This position requires balancing workload in a timely fashion, adhering to timelines, being available to staff and superiors, communicating and collaborating effectively in a collegial environment. Serves as the liaison between the department and both internal and external auditors. Manages internal controls for our point of service banking tools; credit card accounts, cash/check deposits.
  • This is a key role in the Finance team and this person will have exposure to levels of management and operations, and the ability to grow as does the organization.

***This position is currently hybrid remote and in person work, with the possibility for that to change in the future.

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (Required)
  • 5+ years of related experience in accounting (Required)
  • Physician practice or hospital experience strongly preferred 
  • Supervisory experience (Required)
