Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.Pennsylvania Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our inpatient team of surgical Advanced Practitioners. We are looking for a dynamic Advanced Practitioner who will provide individualized, patient centered care for our patients undergoing urologic surgery and their families. The Advanced Practitioner will be responsible for the clinical care of patients within a diverse Urologic Surgery Practice. The Advanced Practitioner will practice with a high level of autonomy and have expert skill in the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of the Urology patients. As part of their professional role, the Advanced Practitioner integrates education, research, leadership, and consultation into their clinical practice. The scope of responsibilities include, but are not limited to daily rounds with the surgical team, patient assessment, pre and post-operative patient care, preoperative history and physicals, diagnostic interpretations, facilitating admissions and discharges, performing inpatient consultations, participation in hospital and departmental meetings, team and patient care conferences and coordinating care across the continuum. All surgeons in the Division of Urologic Surgery will be responsible for direct oversight of the clinical role and lead orientation to the clinical unit and ongoing assessment of the clinical skills. The collaborating physicians will evaluate the CRNP's/PA-C’s Clinical Skills and Competence as part of their annual performance review. Minimum Requirements: Master's Prepared Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. Active PA licensure at time of hire. ACLS required. |
