As a member of the Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology the primary purpose of this position is to help manage the care of obstetrical patients in the outpatient setting while projecting a positive image of UPHS through excellent communication and customer service skills, to support patients/families, facility personnel and UPHS processes to ensure an excellent experience
The incumbent will provide specialized care to women experiencing complications during pregnancy who need routing fetal testing
The CRNP in the specialty practice of Maternal Fetal Medicine/Antenatal Testing Unit will work collaboratively with the ATU staff and physicians in a team approach to enhance patient care that enables the practice to streamline patient visits, improve patient access and provide a high level of coordinated, efficient and quality care to our high risk obstetrical patients.
This position will also include provision of direct patient care in clinical sessions, coordination of care in the antenatal testing unit including the interpretation and billing of non-stress tests and limited scans and review, education and care coordination of US performed within the ultrasound unit.
Minimum Requirements:
Licensed to practice professional nursing in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, M.S.N, and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
Prior to employment, the CRNP must be reviewed by the Credentials Committee and approved by the Medical Board.
BLS Required
Board Certified Women's Health NP Preferred
