Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Supervisor for Materials Management.

  • The Storeroom Supervisor shall provide management, leadership and support to the storeroom location under their leadership. Duties shall include staff management, including scheduling and payroll, receiving, inventory control, distribution of supplies, expense reduction and supply utilization and standardization.

Position Description:

  • Consults with Assistant Director and Director of Materials Management.
  • Schedules Employees, maintains department staffing per requirements and provides guidance during shift.
  • Interviews candidates for open positions, makes recommendations on hiring, does performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
  • Maintains control of inventory, oversees and reports on the semi-annual inventories, establishes par levels and performs daily cycle counts.
  • Provides suggestions on more cost effective products, evaluates kits/trays and packs to assure they meet current needs. Evaluates re-usable versus disposable to determine best option.
  • Maintain records for Lawson assuring recently approved products are up-to-date.
  • Provide guidance when necessary for obtaining return authorizations and credit memo’s along with maintenance of return log.

Minimum Requirements:

  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 7+ years Prior supply chain experienced required. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
  • Bachelor of Arts or Science
  • Supply Chain, healthcare or business or related discipline
