Accounting Clerk - CPUP Finance

3600 Civic Center Boulevard

Summary:

  • The position entails a broad range of accounting, payroll, and general clerical duties. In order to manage the diverse set of responsibilities inherent in the position, the incumbent must show the ability to prioritize his/her responsibilities, must have strong analytical skills, and must demonstrate solid interpersonal abilities.

Machines/Tools & Equipment:

  • Lawson Accounts Payable and Purchasing systems, ChromeRiver, PennCash, Microsoft Office Suite, other personal computer functions, calculator, Fax machine, copier

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 0-3 years business experience, including familiarity with standard office programs such as Excel, Word and Outlook. 
  • Knowledge of accounting and some college a plus. 
  • Intelligence and analytical ability are essential.

Skill Requirements:

  • The incumbent must demonstrate good judgment in prioritizing his/her job elements, be able to function effectively in an environment with many deadlines, and interact with faculty and staff in a professional manner.
  • Incumbent must be a self-starter, but must also be able to recognize issues that should be brought to the attention of, and discussed with, a supervisor. 
  • Good judgment is crucial for this position.
