Summary:
A. The essential function of the position include but are not limited to:
1.Responsible for cylinders, equipment, portable oxygen, supplies to and from designated areas.
2.Performs equipment rounds and ensures availability of equipment on units.
3.Transports dirty equipment back to department soiled utility room.
4.Disassembles, cleans, processes, re-assembles, and tests equipment for operation.
5.Checks expiration dates of supplies.
6.Provides minor preventative and corrective maintenance on equipment, refers equipment to Clinical Engineering when necessary.
7.Performs other duties in area of responsibility that may be assigned.
Credentials:
CPR certification required
Education or Equivalent Experience:
High school graduate with demonstrated basic mechanical abilities and knowledge of hand tools. Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. CPR certification.
