  • Manages the Interventional Support Center (ISC) facilities and plant operations teams under the direction of the ISC Managing Director as it relates to the ISC's infrastructure such as building equipment, utilities, general maintenance and in-house renovation projects. This also includes regulatory compliance and management, quality assurance activities and programs, and personnel development.


  • Provides leadership and mentoring to the Plant Operations and EVS Staffs as it relates to the operation of the ISC’s infrastructure, building equipment, utilities, general maintenance and in-house renovation projects, ensuring all staff provide a safe and comfortable environment for the ISC’s staff, patients and visitors.
  • Directs Plant Operators and EVS Staffs for the purpose of building productive results and relationships. Ensures all Staff are appropriately trained in equipment and procedures so as to ensure that work is performed efficiently, effectively and safely. Assists Instrument Processing and Material Service Partner Staff in the management of processing and storage equipment.
  • Must have a visible, approachable management style that builds and leverages relationships for the benefit of the facility.
  • Maintains PM schedules and assures work is properly completed in a reasonable time.
  • Assigns and follow through on work orders given to Plant Operations staff working all shifts.
  • Requisition and manage material necessary to complete work assignments.
  • Conduct all fire prevention drills and maintains the systems according to the NFPA/TJC requirements.
  • Acts as ISC Fire Marshal; documents compliance for all regulatory agencies.
  • Manages internal office project management initiatives which includes budgeting, design, vendor management, and equipment installation.
  • Works on major system repairs and upgrades which include but not limited to: processing equipment, storage equipment, HVAC, electrical and mechanical, life safety systems, emergency generators automatic transfer switches, un-interruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution systems and boilers.
  • Organizes documentation for compliance for DOH, TJC, CMS and other authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Directs and coordinates the personnel and payroll functions. Also managing all personnel transactions, including the preparation of all personnel related forms.
  • Keeps records on Plant Operations and EVSstaff time, absences. and vacation.
  • Maintain and expand knowledge of multiple systems throughout the facility.
  • Assures work area and support areas are maintained in a clean, organized, professional and safe manner.
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and problem solving and know when to seek appropriate consultation.
  • Fundamental skills in facility critical systems such as HVAC, electrical and mechanical, life safety systems, emergency/stand-by generators, automatic transfer switches, un-interruptible power supply (UPS) systems, power distribution systems and boilers.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems, including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, carpentry, boilers, chillers, generators, etc.
  • Participates with On Call responsibilities and rotation as needed.


  • Driver's License (Required)

Education or Equivalent Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Degree in related engineering field, formal apprenticeship program or technical trade school or equivalent experience preferred.
  • H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
  • 5+ years Management experience with personnel responsibilities. Health care facilities/plant operations/engineering/maintenance experience required. Fire and/or Life Safety training and continuing education preferred. National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) membership preferred
