Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.RadOnc RN will perform duties as a Proton Triage RN who supports, but not limited to, the Penn Medicine Virtua Proton patients and resides in the Virtua Voorhees location with a rotation to other Penn Medicine sites to continue active RadOnc clinical practice. RN will triage patients via phone. RN will perform intake to evaluate the patient for appropriateness of treatment. RN will collaborate with the Penn Medicine providers to direct patient care. RN will educate patients about Proton therapy and support the Radiation Oncology Proton patient at the onset of treatment. RN will provide resources as appropriate. RN will be required to have PA and NJ nursing license.
At Penn Medicine Radiation Oncology, the RN plays a critical role in the planning and delivering of cancer care. The RN should demonstrate advanced cancer care knowledge, strong assessment skills and can educate patients on their care and treatment, while applying clinical leadership and problem-solving skills. The Clinical Nurse 2 complies with all regulations and standards of regulatory and accrediting bodies and maintains an expert level of knowledge and skill with technical procedures.
