Pharmacy Technician Trainee Inpatient

Position Description:
Penn Presbyterian is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Trainee.
Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following:
• Stock and restock medications
• Triage phone calls appropriately
• Fill medication prescriptions
• Deliver medications to assigned areas
• Regularly rotate medication stock and check for expired medications
• Run cash register and dispense prescriptions to patients
• Performs duties in accordance with Penn Medicine and entity values, policies, and procedures
• Other duties as assigned to support the unit, department, entity, and health system organization

Minimum Requirements:

High School or equivalent level of education required
Pharmacy Technician certification required within 6 months of hire
Good communication skills, both verbal and written
Good organizational skills required
Positive, team work attitude
Works well with others as a team
Perform basic office environment task
Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and the internet
Basic math skills required
Excellent patient/customer service required
