Summary: The Hospital Aide I is expected to answer all needs of patient and expedite completion of examinations and dismissal of patients. Responsible for greeting and providing information to help orient patients and family members to the section, department and facility. Communicate movement of patients within the facility. Proficiently uses the Health System’s telephone and pager systems, computer systems, fax machines, IDX system, SMS system, Imagecast system, Medview system, financial posting systems, photocopiers. Troubleshoots to resolve patient and family member needs and problems. Anticipates and resolves scheduling conflicts/ patient delays.
Credentials: Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience: The qualified candidate must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Health care experience strongly preferred.
