Working for this leading academic medical center means collaboration with top clinical, technical and business professionals across all disciplines.The Department of Pathology and Laboratory at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Medical Lab Technician. This position is 2nd shift, part-time.
Position Description:
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:
Performing appropriately requested analysis of laboratory on all types of laboratory specimens
produces and documents accurate laboratory results for diagnosis and treatment of disease. Must adhere to Penn Medicine’s policies and procedures and conforms to all safety practices. Maintains the required up to date documents required by various accreditation agencies. Maintains the confidentiality of health information on all patients.
Minimum Requirements:
Please apply if you possess these qualifications:
An Associate Degree in Medical Technology or equivalent discipline required
Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related discipline preferred
A minimum of 2 years hospital based laboratory experience preferred
MLT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred
Broad knowledge of various laboratory methods and techniques, quality assurance, in addition to PC and LIS knowledge required
Additional Information: Please Note: Position is every other weekend and one day during the week.
